A New Year and an Important Announcement

As we begin a new year filled with change and opportunity, we hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. It’s hard to believe that 2026 is already upon us.

With the new year comes an important announcement. At the end of 2026, after an incredible 47 years with VRS, our Executive Director, Nancy Riggle, will officially retire. The Board of Directors has begun forming a search committee and will be working on a thoughtful and well-planned transition.

In the meantime, we want to celebrate and share Nancy’s remarkable journey with VRS. Beginning next month, we will feature monthly excerpts highlighting her story….yes, all 47 years of it! That’s why we’re taking an entire year to tell it. A journey this extraordinary simply can’t be limited to a single month.

Nancy will share how she began her career, the milestones along the way, and the many changes she has witnessed throughout the years. Her dedication, leadership, and impact have shaped VRS into what it is today.
